For a few days I have decided if I should even do this or not. I will be very honest it was not something I wanted to do at all. My husband and I are very private for the most part. We don’t generally tell anyone when we are going through something, or if something is going on with our children. I say that to say when I share something with someone in the middle of a battle I really trust, and appreciate the gifting that God has put in them. So to do this blog and group on Facebook was extremely difficult.
I remember being in the hospital for a few days before we even told our family! So when we were transferred to St. Jude in Memphis and NONE of our extended friends and family knew what was going on it was starting to get overwhelming. I knew what God was speaking to me as far as what I needed to do to share her story from the beginning. I however was not completely on board. I think it was the 2nd we were in St. Jude and I my husband looked at me and said
“I don’t think I need to tell you this, but I’m going to anyway. You know you are supposed to be sharing what’s going on with Jayel with more than just a few people. I know God has already spoken to you to do something and I think you need to just do it.”
After he said that I told him what God was speaking to my heart about. That we needed to share her story now. That we needed the spiritual, emotional and financial support from our friends and family. That we needed to be completely transparent about it all so that way the peace, and goodness of God can shine through.
Through the blog and website I hope to encourage, inspire and help as many people as I can through their faith, nutrition and wellness. I will be posting recipes that we use to nourish Jayel’s body through chemo, treatments, and while traveling. I will also be posting updates on how she is doing, how our family is doing, what scriptures God is showing us through it, and our daily life through it all.
If you have a child going through chemo and would like to connect please contact me on Facebook , as it is the best way to reach me.

My husband, and family greatly appreciate you taking the time to read the blog, updates, and share any of the posts in regards to helping another mom, dad, family member or friend. We are grateful to God for allowing us to share this with so many people today, and in the future!
